Richard "Dick? K. White, 71, of 2422 Linwood St SW, Cedar Rapids, went to be with the Lord, March 24, 2003, after a long illness. He resided at the Hiawatha Care Center. Memorial service 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 11, 2003, by Rev. Will Jackson at Hus Memorial Presbyterian Church, where friends may call at 10:30 a.m. Burial: Linwood Mausoleum.

Survivors include his wife Jean; daughter, Tammy (Brad) Powell; granddaughter, Maelee, of CedarRapids; son-in-law, Kelly (Sheila) McCusker; granddaughter, Lauren, of Montgomery, Illinois; sister, Beryl Netolicky of Cedar Rapids; sister-in-law, Charlene White of Marion; four nephews, Gary (Holly) Netolicky, Dennis Netolicky, Richard (Jan) Netolicky, Steve White; and one niece, Diane (John) Taylor, all of Cedar Rapids.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Terry McCusker, and brothers, Robert and Bruce.

Dick was born April 25, 1931, in CedarRapids, Iowa, to Bruce C. and Bernice J. White. He graduated from McKinley High School in 1950. He served in the National Guard and Army from 1948 - 1952. He married Jean Couser on September 8, 1962. He worked at FMC until it closed, then at St. Luke?s hospital in the housekeeping department until he retired in 1993. Dick played baseball and softball in the Cedar Rapids area for forty years and enjoyed playing golf. He loved to catch, clean and cook fish for his family and friends. He was a member and elder at Hus church. Dick?s stories and jokes will be greatly missed.

The family would like to thank the Hiawatha Care Center for their care and concern during Dick?s stay. Also, thank you to St. Luke?s hospice.
