Richard Jackson
January 25, 1945 — February 20, 2005
Richard "Dick? Jackson, 60, of 4405 Merganser Ct., died Sunday, February 20, 2005, at St. Luke?s Hospital, following a long illness. Services: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 23, 2005, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion by Rev. Gabriel Anderson. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date in Mason City.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia J. Jackson; three children, Becky (Ken) Latuska of Rochester, Minnesota, Brian Jackson of Marion, and Beth (Mike) Weber of Roland, Iowa; a brother, Larry (Patricia D.) Jackson of Northville, Michigan; and two grandchildren, Ryan and Matthew Latuska.
Also surviving are his mother-in-law, Maureen Berding of Mason City; a sister-in-law, Linda (George) Papouchis of Mason City; and his nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Jackson, Susan Jackson, Joe Jackson and Jess (Stephanie) Berding-Wheat.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Dick was born January 25, 1945, the son of Wilbur G. and Mildred A. (Starr) Jackson in Iowa City. On October 19, 1963, he married Patricia Berding at Holy Family Catholic Church in Mason City. Dick was a computer programmer. He was a hard worker who enjoyed spending time with his family, his dog B.J. and traveling to Michigan to visit his brother. He collected toy tractors and enjoyed yard work.
A memorial fund has been established in Dick?s memory.
