Richard L. "Dick? Pollock, 67, of 215 40th Street Drive S.E., Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Wednesday, April 11, 2007, in his home following a short illness. Memorial Service: 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 14, 2007, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. H. Burr Bryant.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret; four children, Gregory (Pam) Pollock of Cedar Rapids, Tracey Helton of Lexington, Tennessee, Kathy Pollock (Deb Pritchard) of Lexington, Tennessee, and Jeffrey (Sherry) Pollock of Kansas City, Missouri; six grandchildren, Katie (Ed) Williams, Joshua Henson, Stephanie (Eric) Wood, Robert Henson, Chris Otterbeck (Tim Messer), and Lisa Otterbeck. Also surviving is his great grandson, Lucas Williams; sisters, Betty Petersen of Cedar Rapids, Maxine Renfer of Central City, and Norma Weger of Cedar Rapids; and one brother, James Pollock of Marion.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Madaline Nielsen, Buelah Bremer and Kathryn Coppess; brothers, Robert Pollock, Norman Pollock and Kenneth Pollock; and his beloved Cleo.
Dick was born October 31, 1939, in Central City, Iowa, the son of Worley and Mary Alice (Price) Pollock. On July 11, 1959, he married Margaret Palmer in Marion. He retired after 35 years as a manager in manufacturing.
He attended Prairie Chapel United Methodist Church. His friends and family were very important to him and he will be greatly missed.
Dick enjoyed lawn and gardening, attending town and church festivals and his dog, Cleo.
A memorial fund has been established in Dick?s memory.
