Richard "Dick" Joseph Jarosik

Richard “Dick” Joseph Jarosik, 86, of Marion, formerly of Nebraska, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2016, following a courageous battle of cancer along with Alzheimer’s, at the Village Ridge in Marion. Per Dick’s request, a private family service was held in Iowa. Inurnment: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at Martin Cemetery in Deweese, Nebraska. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion is assisting the family.
Richard is survived by his wife, Joeann Quint Jarosik of Marion; step-children, Robert (Barb) Quint of Cedar Rapids, Margie (Bud) McFadden of Cedar Rapids, and Kathy (Steve) Enabnit of Central City; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Richard was born June 5, 1930, in Spring Ranch, Nebraska, the son of Theodore and Josepheene Jarosik. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. On June 12, 2012, Richard married Joeann Pulver Quint in Hastings, Nebraska. He was employed as a manager for Hastings Pipe Company, now known as Hastings Irrigation in Hastings, Nebraska until retiring in 1995. He also was a farmer, farming the land in which he was born on.
