Richard Lee "Dick" Fredericksen

Richard Lee “Dick” Fredericksen, 71, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, November 29, 2007, at St. Luke’s Hospital, following a long illness. Memorial service: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 5, 2007, at Buffalo United Methodist Church in Cedar Rapids by Rev. Marilyn Buchanan. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Lea of Cedar Rapids; his son, Thomas Lee Fredericksen of Cedar Rapids; his brother, Donald (Carolyn) Fredericksen of Marion; and his granddaughter, Jamie Lee Fredericksen.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Robert Fredericksen and Jerry Cook.
Richard was born July 2, 1936, the son of Harry and Gertrude (Riley) Fredericksen in St. Charles, Illinois. He and Mary Loughrey have been married for thirty-five years. Richard worked as a dry cleaner for forty years. He loved fishing, playing cards and playstation. Richard was a very loving and caring person who will be missed greatly by his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in his name.
