Richard L. “Dick” Evers, of Delhi, Iowa, passed away Friday, February 1, 2019. Visitation: 3:00 – 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 5, 2019, at Bohnenkamp – Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Manchester, with a 3:00 p.m. Scripture Service. Additional visitation one hour before services Wednesday at the church. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at St. John Catholic Church, Delhi by Rev. John R. Kremer. Burial: St. John Catholic Cemetery, Delhi.

Dick was born May 14, 1940, in Dyersville, Iowa, the son of Elmer and Rosella (Bradshaw) Evers. On June 29, 1959, Dick married Judy Ann Rink. Dick worked as a custodian with the Maquoketa Valley School District for over 25 years. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church. Dick enjoyed dancing, NASCAR racing and was a sports fan, especially of the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Dick is survived by his four children, Rick Evers (Kathy Walker), Patty (Fred) Timmerman, Cindy (Dave) Weber, and Tammy (Ryan) Henneberry; seven grandchildren, Tyler (Stevie Jo), Kyle, Chloe, Jake, Raylan, Wes (Brooke), and Tad; and three great-granddaughter, Kynlee, Zoey, and Jazz; brothers, Jerry (Molly) Evers and Joe (Linda) Evers; brother-in-law, Bob Rink; and special friend, Marian Roeder.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Judy Evers; a grandson, Andrew; a brother, Jim, a sister, Mary Lou; brothers-in-law, Tom (Jan) Rink and Dick (Jean) Rink, sisters-in-law, Linda Lou Rink, Sandy Evers and Marcy Evers.
