Richard “Dean” Chettinger, Jr., 58, of Lamont, passed away, Wednesday, July 23, 2014. Memorial Services will be held Tuesday, July 29, 2014, 10:30 a.m., at Grace United Methodist Church, Lamont. Visitation will be Monday, July 28, 2014, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., also at the church.
Survivors include his children, Amy (Dennis) Acey, Springfield, TN, Travis (Kristi) Chettinger, Lamont, Tiffany (Ryan Nie) Chettinger, Lamont, Jacob (Jessie Mescher) Bergfeld, Dundee, Pam (Justin McDonald) Knight, Lamont; nine grandchildren; siblings, Sherrie (Ron) Taylor, Aurora, Evelyn (Wayne) Burgin, Strawberry Point, Bonnie (Lonnie) Opitz, Aurora, Sandy (Ron) Gamm, Marion, Dorothy (Russell) Holthaus, Aurora, and Shirley Chettinger, Hazelton; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his former wife Ronda Noble-Chettinger.
Dean was born October 23, 1955, the son of Lucille Ava (Moser) and Richard Dean Chettinger, Sr. He married Ronda Ellen Noble on September 25, 1981, in Dundee. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Dundee. Dean enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.
