Raymond Joe Kubik, 83, of Center Point, Iowa, died of leukemia Wednesday, February 08, 2012, at his home. Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, February 11, 2012, at the Center Point United Methodist Church, by Ken Graham. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Private burial: Walker Cemetery, Walker, Iowa. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point.
Survivors include his wife, Grace; son, Paul (Jody) Kubik of Hiawatha; daughter, Melea (Brent) Willson of Walker; grandchildren, Stephanie Gordon, Matt Kubik, Jacob Kubik, Tyler Kubik, Kylie Willson, Brooke Willson, Lauren Willson, Madison Willson and Morgan Willson; great grandson, Jordan Gordon; siblings, Gerald (Doris) Kubik, of Alburnett, Stan (Kay) Kubik of Walker, Edward (Bonnie) Kubik of Walker, and Gladys (Jerry) Zavodsky of Marengo; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Martha Zeadow.
Born May 10, 1928, in Walker, Iowa, to Joseph and Frances (Stroleny) Kubik, he married Grace Smith on December 9, 1950. He retired from farming in 1992 because it interfered with his hunting. He dearly loved his children and grandchildren and spending time with them.
Instead of flowers a memorial fund has been established. The family requests that you bring memories to share and dress casual.
