Raymond Joseph Hugenel, 70, of Marion, Iowa died Friday, December 31, 2021 at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, is assisting the family.
Raymond was born March 8, 1951 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Joseph Arthur and Helen Mae (Brim) Hugenel. He served honorably in the United States Navy from 1969 until 1973. Raymond went on to work at Van Meter Co. and Crescent Electric until his retirement. He loved his job working in electrical wholesales.
Raymond enjoyed fishing and loved watching his Westerns. He will be missed.
He is survived by his sisters: Carol Ness of Marion, Iowa; Patricia Achey of Surprise, Arizona; and Peggy Becker of Shellsburg, Iowa; eleven nieces and nephews; as well as many great-nieces, great-nephews, and extended family members.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; sister Nancy McLaughlin; and brother Larry Hugenel.
