Randall 'Randy' Scott Stoneman

Randall “Randy” Scott Stoneman, 71, died Wednesday, March 15, 2023, unexpectedly at his home in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The family will greet friends from 1 - 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 26, 2023, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion, Iowa.
Randy was born January 6, 1952, in Waterloo, Iowa, to Claire and Meriem (Anderson) Stoneman. He graduated from East High School in Waterloo in 1970. He worked for many years at O’Neal Steel (formerly Weismann Steel) in Waterloo as a worker and then as a foreman. Upon moving to Cedar Rapids he worked for Des Moines Bolt, Target Store, and then as a distributor for Mission Tortillas in Cedar Rapids.
Randy was a hard worker and taught his children good work ethics, was a great father and grandfather. His sense of humor was enjoyed by all. He married Patricia McKenna on October 2, 1971, in Waterloo and together they raised four children: Laurie Duff of Waterloo, Neil Stoneman of Cedar Rapids, Chris (JoLisa) Stoneman of LaPorte City, and Jennifer (Ryan) Topliff of Marion; they divorced in 1997. Randy married Julie Conley on August 9, 2009, and later divorced in 2022.
Randy is survived by his four children; eight grandchildren: Caitlyn, Ethan, and Adam Stoneman, Luke Duff, Cayden and Addilyn Stoneman, Kyla and Weston Topliff; brothers: Jack, Denny (Cheri) and Everett (Barb); sister: Clarice Wenger; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law: Gene Wenger; and sister-in-law: Arlene Stoneman.
