Ralph F. Hodge

Ralph F. Hodge, 69, of 387 Ben-Dov Drive, died Tuesday, May 6, 2003, in St Luke?s Hospital, Cedar Rapids, following a sudden illness. There will be no visitation or services. Arrangements with Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Marion.
Surviving are his wife, Eve; three sons, Tony Hodge and wife Shawn of Marion, Rusty Hodge of Marion, and Mike Hodge of Denver, Colorado; two brothers, Harry Andrews of Colorado and Edwin Hodge of California; a sister, Evelyn Paull of Colorado; and best friend, Jack Dunkin of Marion.
Also surviving are three grandchildren, Cody, Joseph and Kylie. He was preceded by his parents.
Ralph was born the son of Russell and Edith Fundan Hodge on September 1, 1934, in Downs, Illinois. On August 29, 1965, in Normal, Illinois he was united in marriage to Eva Lachenmyer. Ralph served in the U.S. Army. He was a manager of various discount department stores, worked in sales for Cox Cable and owned and operated RT Services.
Ralph was very active in the Boy Scouts of America, was an assistant soccer coach, enjoyed remodeling houses, being outdoors and helping his grandsons with projects.
