Phyllis Darlene Wildeman, 83, died Sunday, October 4, 2009, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha, following an aneurysm and stroke. Services: 3:00 p.m., Thursday, October 8, 2009, at the King of King’s Lutheran Church, Cedar Rapids, by Rev. Mark Halvorson. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion.

Survivors include her husband, Hank; her children, Linda (Alan) Anderson of St. Charles, Illinois, Diana (John) Lensch of Marion, Leonard Wildeman of Ahuacatlan, Mexico, and Connie Mays of Jacksonville, Florida; grandchildren, Camille (Pete) Walker of Maple Park, Illinois, Adam Anderson of Frankfort, Illinois, Anna (Andrew) Mosier of Durham, North Carolina, Erin (Josh) Cullnan of Chicago, Illinois, and Daniel Lensch of Cedar Falls; great-granddaughters, Allison Miller and Sarah Anderson; siblings, Margaret LaFrenz of Rock Rapids, Iowa, Raymond (Janice) Delfs of Rock Rapids, Iowa, and Eunice (John) McCarty of Larchwood, Iowa; and sisters-in-law, Dorothy Delfs of Luverne, Minnesota, and Johanna Klarenbeek, Leona Harmsen, and Dena Wildeman, all of Rock Rapids, Iowa; and many neices and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Pete, Adrian, Alvin and Gary Delfs.

Phyllis was born November 21, 1925, the daughter of Henry and Anna (Holmer) Delfs, in Woodbury County, Iowa. She married Henry (Hank) Wildeman on January 18, 1945 in Rock Rapids, Iowa. Phyllis was a member of King of King’s Lutheran Church and resided at Village Ridge in Marion. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, playing cards, and riding the motorcycle with Hank. Phyllis was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may directed to the Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, in Hiawatha, or King of King's Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids, in Phyllis' memory.
