Phyllis E. Thibadeau, 84, of Manchester passed away January 3, 2014, at Regional Medical Center, Manchester.
Services for Phyllis Thibadeau will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 7, 2014 by Pastor Jill Mack at the Clifton-Murdoch Funeral Home in Earlville. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, prior to services. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Earlville.
Phyllis was born April 14, 1929 in Colesburg, the daughter of Loren and Ione (Shaw) Herman. She graduated from Earlville High School in 1946. On November 23, 1947, Phyllis was united in marriage to John Thibadeau. They were married for 66 years.
Phyllis was employed as a cook by Delaware County Memorial Hospital for 10 years, was a hard worker and was kind and good-hearted. She enjoyed cooking big meals for the family. Phyllis was an avid reader, crocheted, and was faithful at sending cards to everyone for their birthdays and anniversaries. She was a great “grammy”.
Phyllis is survived by her husband, John W.; one son Bill (Teresa) Thibadeau of Manchester; six grandchildren, LaVon, Yvette, Travis (Kendra), Brian (Joy), Baillie, and Wyatt; and 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Vincent and Dennis Herman; and four sisters, Janice Klaus, Nancy Herman, Jacqueline Troester, and Paulette Mueller.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; two children, Jim and Mary Ann Thibadeau; a brother, Rodney Herman and two sisters, Donna and Virginia.
