Phyllis Ann Kraft (Ellis)

Phyllis Ann (Ellis) Kraft, 67 years of age passed away on October 24, 2010, at Mercy Hospital, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, after a long illness. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Phyllis was born in Blue Creek Alabama, on November 26, 1942. She was very proud of her coal mining heritage.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Mamie Leona Ellis; and two brothers, Jerry and Hugh “Tom” Ellis.
Survivors include her loving and devoted husband, Philip Kraft; children, Mary Kay (Duane) Ewing, Tanya (Rod) Brekke, Rick Kraft, Jodi (Richard) Petersmith, Phyllis (Bill) Kohlmeyer, Stacy (Natasha) Kraft; one sister, Mary Jo Patterson, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; brothers, Don (Thelma) Ellis, Bobby (Gail) Ellis and Jimmy Ellis; grandchildren, Todd, Holly, Rachel, Melissa, Carli, Joshua, Justin, Austin, Kyle, Rylan and Riana. Also surviving are five great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Phyllis was a long time resident of Sebastian, Florida, and recently moved back to Cedar Rapids to be closer to her family.
Phyllis had many friends and good memories. Her wishes were for her friends to remember all the fun they had. There will be a private memorial for family only on November 3. Cards and flowers may be sent that day to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 7121 Mt. Vernon Road S.E., Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52403. A luncheon and time of fellowship will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. November 3, at VFW Post 788, 3240 Southgate Place, Cedar Rapids.
