Perry Eugene Scott

Perry Eugene "Gene? Scott, 79, a resident of Willow Gardens Care Center, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, June 2, 2004, in St. Luke?s Hospital, following a short illness. Graveside Services: 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 4, 2004, at Ohio Cemetery in rural Ladora, Iowa. Friends may call today (Thursday) from 4 to 6 p.m. at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion.
Survivors include two sisters, Lucy McNeal of Cedar Rapids and Betty Shaull of Marengo; and two brothers, Willie Scott of Cedar Rapids and John Scott Jr. of Montana; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Bobby Scott.
He was born the son of John and Garnet (Rowe) Scott on November 10, 1924, in Marvin, Missouri. Gene worked at Bishops Cafeteria in downtown Cedar Rapids for over twenty-six years.
Gene?s favorite past time was playing bingo, which meant spending time with his friends and winning prizes, which he proudly displayed in his room.
