Pearl T. Schaul, 94, of Manchester died Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at Regional Medical Center.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 19, 2011 by Rev. John Flaherty, St. Mary Catholic Church in Manchester. Visitation: 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Friday, November 18, 2011 at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home in Manchester where there will be a 2:00 p.m. Rosary Service and an 8:00 Scripture Service. Additional visitation, one hour before services at the church on Saturday. Burial: St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Manchester
On December 9, 1916, Pearl Theresa was born to an Italian immigrant, Peter and Katherine (Arlen) Boffeli in Farley. Pearl attended Saint Joseph’s Catholic High School graduating in 1935. On January 31, 1939, Pearl was united in marriage to Victor J. Schaul at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Farley. The couple farmed near Masonville before retiring and moving to Manchester in 1973.
Pearl was a past member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Masonville, and current member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Manchester. Pearl and Vic enjoyed traveling and spent 23 years wintering in Dade City, FL. Pearl and Victor were married for 62 years. She enjoyed her family - loved looking at old family pictures. Pearl played a lot of cards with friends and enjoyed gardening.
Pearl is survived by five children, Bob (Marge) Schaul of Masonville, Lawrence “Larry” (Helen) Schaul of Dubuque, LaVern (Valda) Schaul of Masonville, Randy (Norine) Schaul and Mary Jane (Gary) Lynch of Manchester; nineteen grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; siblings, Eugene Boffeli of Monticello and Rosene Dolphin Trumm of Cascade; inlaws, Rose Schaul, Marie Sigwarth, Rita Schaul, Lois Boffeli, Lorraine Boffeli, Odie Boffeli and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, Victor in 2001; her parents, Peter and Katherine Boffeli, twin sons, John and Daniel Schaul; siblings, Merlin (Mary), Allan, Wilmer “Bill”, LaVern, Cecelia (Don) McAllister, Sr. Mary Raynel; Eldon “Pete” Boffeli, Mariet (Pete) Schmitt, Delia (Wes) Truair, Marcella Boffeli, in infancy; inlaws, Maxine Boffeli, Merlin Dolphin, LeRoy Trumm, Al (Viola) Schaul, Ambrose Schaul, Ewald Sigwarth, Joe Schaul, Frank (Olive) Hermsen, Albert (Margaret) Meyer, and Greg (Theckla) Hoeger.
