Paula Ann Main, 69, of North Liberty, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2016, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, following complications sustained in a vehicle/pedestrian accident. Visitation: 5-8 p.m. Monday, May 9, 2016, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion. Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Silver Creek United Methodist Church in Delaware County. Burial: Coggon Cemetery, Coggon, Iowa.
Survivors include her sister, Ruth Main (Dean) Soenksen of Cedar Rapids; niece, Anna Soenksen; and nephew, Tyler Soenksen.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one niece, Amanda Soenksen.
Paula was born December 22, 1946, to Paul and Elsie (Evers) Main in Manchester, Iowa. She was a 1965 graduate of Coggon High School. After graduating, Paula attended Paris Academy Beauty School and worked most recently as a hairdresser with the former Windmill Point Assisted Living of Coralville. She was also employed as a crossing guard for the city of North Liberty. Paula was a longtime member of Silver Creek United Methodist Church. She was a loyal Chicago Cubs and Iowa Hawkeyes fan.
