Paula Elaine Gravel, 49, of 1237 Center St. NE, Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, April 03, 2003, at her home of cancer. Services: 10 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2003, at Grace Baptist Church in Marion by Rev. Dr. Cecil Ballard. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the church and one hour prior to the services. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion.
Survivors include her husband, David; her mother, Ines "Bea? Lang of Vinton; two daughters, Kelly Byrn and husband Damon of Cedar Rapids and Alecia Gravel of Cedar Rapids; two brothers, Duane Lang and wife Pat of Essex and Jim Lang and wife Ann of New Hampton; and two grandchildren, Travis and Makayla Cox.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Paula was born February 6, 1954, the daughter of Paul and Ines "Bea? (Bolton) Lang in Shenandoah, Iowa. She graduated from Iowa Braille & Sightsaving School. She then attended Venard College in Oskaloosa. On December 4, 1976, she married David E. Gravel at the First Christian Church in Vinton.Paula was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Marion where she was a very active member.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Paula?s memory.
