Paul T. Reutzel 90, died June 12, 2012, and Betty J. Reutzel 85, died June 13, 2012, both of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died at Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha. Graveside Service: 10:30 a.m. Friday June 15, 2012, at Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Family will greet friends from 4-7 p.m. Thursday June 14, 2012, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include their children, Kathy Lint, Paula Taggart, Mike (Diane) Reutzel and Rick (Kathy) Reitzel all of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Stacey (Rod) Dettbarn, Steve Lint, Shelby (Mark) Rasmussen, Tammy (Doug) Crouch, Jason (Stacy) Reutzel, Heather Saldivar and Matt Reitzel; and six great-grandchildren; and beloved dog, Molly. Betty was also survived by her cousins, Bob (Sandi) Gardner and Jean (Roy) Meadows.
They were preceded in death by their parents; and their grandson, Scott. Paul was also preceded by two brothers and two sisters.
Paul was born August 3, 1921, in Sidney, Nebraska, to Charles and Katrina Reutzel. Paul was united in marriage to Betty Miner. He was a roofer owning and operating Paul’s Roofing and 4 Star Roofing where Betty was the secretary. He enjoyed playing the slot machines at Tama. Betty was born June 6, 1927, in Caputa, South Dakota, to Marie Miner. She enjoyed spending time with her family and playing bingo.
