Paul William Mollenhauer, 84, of 3226 Lafayette Road, Alburnett, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 16, 2005. Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October, 19, 2005, at Lafayette Christian Church, rural Alburnett, by the Rev. Dan Peterson. Burial: Lafayette Cemetery, rural Alburnett, with military honors provided by Toddville American Legion Post 674. Friends may call at Murdoch Funeral Home in Center Point from 5 - 8 p.m. today (Tuesday) and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-nine years, Fern.

Also surviving are several cousins, nieces, nephews and a brother-in-law.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Paul was born June 19, 1921, the son of Casper and Estella Fishel Mollenhauer, in Alburnett, Iowa. On December 12, 1945, he was united in marriage to Fern Alden in Troy Mills at the Christian Church. He was a lifelong farmer in rural Alburnett, sold seed corn and was also a grain bin mover. Paul served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps during World War II and was a member of Toddville American Legion Post 674. He was a member of Lafayette Christian Church, where he served as an elder for many years.
