Paul Robert Jones
February 3, 1922 — March 11, 2006
Paul Robert "Bob? Jones, 84, of 1630 Charleston Dr., died Saturday, March 11, 2006, at Promise House in Hiawatha, from complications of Alzheimer?s Disease. There will be no visitation or services.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia of Marion; two daughters, Kathryn Troup of Woodbury, Minnesota and Susan (David) Grant of Urbandale; two grandchildren, Jeffrey (Lori) Wehling of Maple Grove, Minnesota and Deborah (Al) Shoemaker of Victoria, Minnesota; and four great-grandchildren, Ethan and Emily Wehling and Al and Jake Shoemaker.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bill.
Bob was born February 3, 1922, the son of Paul L. and M. Catherine (Schliep) Jones in Creston. On June 4, 1945, he married Patricia Cochrane at the First Presbyterian Church in Creston. He served with the U.S. Navy during WWII as a flight instructor. Bob worked for Rockwell-Collins for thirty years as an engineer before retiring in 1982.
