Paul F. Floyd, Jr., 83, a resident of Vinton Nursing Home, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, January 13, in the home after a short illness. Services: 10:30 a.m., Thursday, January 16, 2003, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Mark Urlaub. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9:30 till service time on Thursday. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his sisters, Phyllis (Art) Schrader of Dysart, Jean (Francis) Hassel and Shirley (Jim) Stoner of Cedar Rapids; a brother, James (Marlys) of Cedar Rapids; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul E. and Ella Marie (Steuber) Floyd, Sr.; a brother, Charles Floyd and a sister, Betty Floyd.
Paul was born January 14, 1919, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He worked at Davis? Dairy and helped out on the farm. Paul loved working puzzles, spending time with his family and sports, especially the Iowa Hawkeyes.
