Paul D. Bowers, 85, of 1215 20th Ave. SW, died Monday, February 5, 2007, at St. Luke?s Hospital, Cedar Rapids, following a short illness. Visitation: 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. on Friday, February 9, 2007, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion. Burial: Troy Mills Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Marie; three sons, David Bowers of Cedar Rapids, Randy (Janet) Bowers of Rockaway Beach, Arkansas , and Tim (Zenaida) Bowers of Cedar Rapids; six grandchildren; and his siblings, Marjorie Bowers of Pleasant Valley, Robert Dean (Rose) Bowers of Walker, Claire (Bernice) Bowers of Center Point, Ralph (Winona) Bowers of Martelle and Phyllis (Howard) Ciha of Lisbon.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Fay.
Paul was born March 14, 1921, near La Porte City, Iowa, to Roy and Anna Rose (Nass) Bowers. He first married Hilda Laffler on March 14, 1952. He later married Marie Hartson on September 15, 2003.
