Patrick Hugh Shaw, 67, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2022, at West Ridge Care Center in Cedar Rapids. A Celebration of Life will be held from 5 – 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids.
Pat was born January 14, 1955, in Creston, Iowa, the son of Marion and Dolores (Fish) Shaw. He graduated from Jefferson High School in Cedar Rapids. Pat worked at Baker Wholesale and Hupp Electric Motors before retiring in 2020. Pat was a big sports fan. He enjoyed cheering on the Packers, Cubs and the Hawkeyes while catching the NASCAR races on the weekends as well. Pat loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his sons, Michael (Jennifer) Johnson of Mankato, Minnesota, and their children, Jacob and Lilah; Nickalus (Christine) Shaw and their children, Ella and Nina; and Christopher (Brooke) Shaw and their children, Braylon, Tanner, and Kinzlee, all of Cedar Rapids; sisters, Sharlene Merta of Fairfax, Iowa, Susan Kruse of Unionville, Missouri, and Patricia Dettling of Vinton, Iowa; and ex-wife, Marlys Shaw of Anamosa, Iowa.
Pat was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Dolores, and his siblings, Mike Shaw and Nancy Palmer.
