Patrick Evan Nelson

Patrick Evan Nelson, 38, of Hastings, Nebraska, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, September 3, 2008, in a motor vehicle accident near Knoxville, Iowa. Memorial Services: 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 6, 2008, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, where the family will greet friends from noon until service time.
Survivors include his parents, Dennis and Sandra Nelson of Cedar Rapids; two brothers, Scott (Nancy) Nelson of Ames and their children, Ryan, Emma and Isaac and Darin (Theresa) Nelson of Walford and their sons, Adam and Alex; his dog and loyal friend, “Banjo”.
Patrick was born March 15, 1970, the son of Dennis and Sandra (Miller) Nelson, in Oakland, Nebraska. A 1989 Washington High School graduate, he attended Kirkwood Community College and UNI and was a sales representative for Hemisphere Outback GPS. Patrick enjoyed camping, fishing and Nebraska football.
A memorial fund has been established in memory of Patrick.
