Patrick J. Carroll, 60, 511 ? M. Avenue, NW, Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, December 6, 2005, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, following a sudden illness. Services: 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 9, 2005, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by Deacon Dan Hoeger. The family will greet friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, December 8, 2005, at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his wife, LaDonna "Jean?; his mother, Cecilia Carroll of Cedar Rapids; his children, Renee (Gary) Comstock of Cedar Rapids, Marie Mahler of Cedar Falls, Tina (Mike) Fleischacker of Cedar Rapids, and Joseph (Glenda) Carroll of Marion; ten grandchildren, Ashley Scott, Eric Scott, Elizabeth Comstock, Samantha Mahler, Deborah Mahler, Andrew Mahler, Nickalaus McGee, Darrian Fleischacker, Amanda Knode and Joseph Carroll, Jr.; a great-granddaughter, Mikala Engels, and three sisters, Mary Decker of Cedar Rapids, Ruth (Ralph) Niemeier of Walker and Carol Meyer of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward James Carroll; a brother, Michael Carroll; and a sister, Jean Carroll.
Patrick was born June 26, 1945, the son of Edward and Cecilia Carroll, in Volga, Iowa. For 35 years, he was self-employed in property management. On October 21, 1987, Patrick married LaDonna "Jean? Fields in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was a member of the Eagles Club.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in memory of Patrick.
