Patricia A. Thomas, 58, of 91 36th Avenue SW, Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, November 25, 2004, in her home, following a long illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 29, 2004, St. Ludmila?s Catholic Church, by the Rev. Tom McDermott. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, November 28, 2004, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, with a vigil service beginning at 6:00 p.m. and one hour prior to service on Monday at the church. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her husband, Michael; her children, Marnie (Todd) Boatwright of Cedar Rapids, Angie (Steven) Thiher of Newhall and Jeremiah Thomas of Cedar Rapids; four grandchildren, Britteny Nicole, Jacob Michael, Anna Renae and Erin Lynn; a brother, Roland (Mardella) Hausman of Columbia, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; her dog, Knute and cat, Homey.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Patricia was born December 20, 1945, the daughter of Harold and Leona Meier Hausman, in Yankton, South Dakota. She graduated in 1964 from Sacred Heart Catholic High School in Monticello. On May 25, 1968, she was united in marriage to Michael Thomas in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A graduate from Young?s Beauty School, Patricia worked for Armstrong Hair Studio from 1965-1990 and worked for J.C. Penney Styling Salon from 1990-2004. She enjoyed working in the yard and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
