Patricia Ann "Patty" Rawson (Lathrop)
February 8, 1950 — December 29, 2006
The Lord called Patricia Ann (Lathrop) Rawson, 56, home December 29, 2006 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Services: 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 1, 2007 at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids by Pastor Jim Langley. Visitation: 3-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Patty was born February 9, 1950, the daughter of Merle W. and Elizabeth "Betty? Lathrop in Cedar Rapids. She was raised in Onslow and attended Midland Community School, graduating in 1968. Patty attended Kirkwood Community College and worked a short time at Merchant?s National Bank in the trust department. She later worked at Square D Company for thirty years. She married Mark Rawson in 1972. The couple later divorced.
Patty loved movies, playing bingo and softball, and eating out. She had many special friends at Square D.
Patty is survived by her son Chad Rawson of Cedar Rapids, two grandchildren, Cullen and Casey Rawson; her sisters, Barbara (Cy) Carpenter of Marion, Vickie Lathrop of Monticello, Sherry (Galen) Kula of Anamosa and Deborah Lathrop (Garry Nissen) of Anamosa; and a brother, Michael (Pat) Lathrop of Onslow.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; and a brother, Thomas Lathrop.
