Patricia “Pat” Kay Trefz, 76, of 1166 Monticello Rd., Coggon, died Friday, December 14, 2012, at St. Luke’s Hospital, from complications of Parkinson’s Disease. A celebration of Pat’s life will be held from 2-6 p.m. Thursday, December 20, 2012, at the Trefz farm. Burial will be at a later date. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Central City.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Dick of Coggon; her children, Randy (Doris) Trefz of Vinton, Cherie (Kevin Kula) Dunn of Coggon, Gary (Annette) Trefz of Coggon, and Gail (Brad) Winn of Walker; two sisters, Carol Peyton of Shelbyville, Kentucky and Sandra (Ron) Wright of Nixa, Missouri; ten grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three grandsons.
Pat was born February 21, 1936, the daughter of Wayne and Ruth (Claney) Penningroth in Monticello. On January 25, 1953, she married Dick Trefz at The Little Brown Church in Nashua.
Pat was a member of The United Parish in Coggon. She took great pride in her family and especially loved her time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
