Patricia "Pat? A. Kirk, 66, of Central City, died Tuesday, January 31, 2006, in Cedar Rapids. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2006, at St. Stephens Catholic Church in Central City, by the Rev. Wayne Droessler. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Marion and one hour prior to the mass at the church on Saturday. Burial: Lafayette Cemetery, rural Alburnett.
Survivors include her husband, Bill; two sons, Michael and wife Lisa and Rick Kirk and wife Kathy all of Cedar Rapids; five brothers, Gregory Michel Jr. (Glenda)of Cedar Rapids, Donald (Sue) Michel of Fairfax, Gary Michel, Robert
(Barb) Michel both of Cedar Rapids and Daniel (Deb) Michel of Canton, Georgia; and a sister, Mary (Jeff) Denny of Cedar Rapids.
Also surviving are two grandsons, Troy and Tyler Kirk of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Jeffery and a niece, Ann Marie.
Pat was born the daughter of Gregory Michel Sr. and Mabel Silver on March 5, 1939, in Preston, Iowa. On May 14, 1960, she married Bill Kirk in St. Patrick?s Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids. Pat held various positions at several businesses in Cedar Rapids and Center Point, including Center Point Bank, Rockwell Collins, Iowa Electric and the Alburnett School System.
She was an avid bowler and golfer. Pat was a huge Iowa Hawkeye fan and loved her Friday night supper club.
Pat was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She touched many lives in many ways. She will be dearly missed by all.
A memorial fund has been established in Pat?s memory.
