Patricia Ann Hoffman, 92, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Monday, April 4, 2022. A funeral Mass will take place at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 11, 2022, at St. John XXIII Church, 8100 Roncalli Drive SW, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cedar Rapids. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids is assisting the family.
Patricia was born March 11, 1930, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Otto and Margaret (Murphy) Klassen. She was united in marriage to James “Jim” E. Hoffman on August 19, 1951, in Cedar Rapids. Patricia worked as a pastoral consultant for the Rock Island, Davenport, Cedar Rapids, and Tama Dioceses until her retirement in 2007. She was a member of St. John XXIII Parish in Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her children, Mark (Karen) Hoffman of Anaheim, California, Matt Hoffman of Bourbonnais, Illinois, Lisa (Martin) Willett of Cedar Rapids, and James “Hal” Hoffman of Phoenix, Arizona; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Margaret Klassen; husband, Jim Hoffman; daughter, Nancy More; sons, Gary, Chris, and Jeff Hoffman; sisters, Esther Novotny, Jean Werner, Mary Jane Kenney, and Rita Ocken.
