Patricia "Pat" C. Apple, 58, of 1935 16th St., Marion, died Saturday, April 5, 2003, in Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, after a courageous battle with cancer. Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 10, 2003, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion, by the Revs. Kevin Jones and Dennis Johnson. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 - 8 p.m. Wednesday (April 9.)
Survivors include her husband, Frank; her mother Velma Repstien of Marion; two sons, Stephen Apple of Marion and David Apple, wife Sue and their children, Taylor and Kaitlin of East Moline, Illinois; two brothers, Roger Repstien and wife Shirley of Altamonte Springs, Florida, and their children, Kristi, Amy and Aric, and Terry Repstien and wife Roxann of Cedar Rapids, and their children Jenilyn and Cari.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph.
Pat was born the daughter of Ralph and Velma Armstrong Repstien on February 7, 1945, in Cedar Rapids. On November 29, 1964, she was united in marriage to Frank Apple in Solon, Iowa. Pat was a 1963 graduate of Regis High School in Cedar Rapids. She attended Gale Institute in Minneapolis, where she studied drafting. Pat then moved back to Cedar Rapids and worked at Collins Radio as a drafter. She was active with the Cub Scouts as a den mother and also was a teacher?s aide in drafting class at Linn-Mar Community schools. She was a member of Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Marion.
Pat was an avid crafter and especially enjoyed working on geneology.
A memorial fund has been established in memory of Pat.
