Pat (Lillian) Crawford, 67, of 1542 4th Avenue SE, died of cancer, Tuesday, July 8, 2003, in St. Luke?s Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Funeral Liturgy: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 12, 2003, at All Saints Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. David O?Connor. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 11, 2003, at the church, with a scripture service beginning at 7:30 p.m. Burial: Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, at a later date. Arrangements are with Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.

Survivors include her significant other, Bob Bembenek of Cedar Rapids; her children, William Crawford and partner Frances Overett of Anamosa, Iowa, Jim Crawford and wife Rosita Colatrella of Pt. Hadlock, Washington, Cathy Van Allen of Cedar Rapids, Joe Crawford and partner Amy Fischer of Tiffin, Iowa, and Theresa Crawford of Cedar Rapids; six grandchildren, Bridgette Williams, Dawn Crawford, Sarah Colatrella Crawford, Weston Darling, Adam Darling and Spc. Lucas Darling, US Army; two great-grandchildren, Kaycey and Talon Williams; a sister, Jean Lubbock of Cedar Rapids; a brother, Gus Gatto of Chicago, Illinois; and many friends and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Don and Butch Gatto.

Pat was born February 26, 1936, the daughter of Wencil and Lillian Murphy Gatto, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She retired from the Gazette as a customer service representative after 15 years of service. A founding member of the Paul Engle Center for Neighborhood Arts and the Wellington Heights Neighborhood Association, Pat was also a member of the Linn County Historical Society, Mid America Housing Partnership and Cedar Rapids Housing Commission. She loved nature, her community, volunteering at Johnson Elementary School for the Arts and "adopted? many kids. Pat will be dearly missed and her memories treasured by all of her family and friends.

Memorials may be made to the Paul Engle Center for Neighborhood Arts in memory of Pat.
