Otto P. Beasler, 83, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Monday, July 30, 2007 at McKenna Memorial Hospital in New Braunfels, Texas, following a stroke. Services: 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 6, 2007, at First Lutheran Church, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Dr. Kay Slocum. The family will greet friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, August 5, 2007, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Entombment: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, with military honors.

Otto is survived by three children, Nancy (Phillip) Branson of New Braunfels, TX, Janelle (Mark) Block of Milwaukee, WI and Jerry (Marijo) Beasler of Cedar Rapids; a stepdaughter, Marlyse (Terry) Strait of Cedar Rapids; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joanne D. Beasler; two stepsons, David and Scott Miller; and a sister, Emeline Williams.

Otto was born August 13, 1923, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the son of Otto and Adelia (Frey) Beasler. He served with the United States Navy during World War II. Otto worked at Square D as a tool and die supervisor for 32 years.
