Otilia “Ticky” Schlondorf, 88, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Sunday, August 16, 2015, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. Family will greet friends from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday, August 19, 2015, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Graveside service: at 2 p.m. at Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Andrew (Ann-Marie) Herrmann, Donna (Dave) Herrmann all of Cedar Rapids, David Herrmann of Oklahoma Howard, (Michelle) Bruner, Chris (Lloyd) Bealsey and Wendy Bealsey all of Cedar Rapids; and brother-in-law, Don Aldrichs of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Betty Bruner, Jean Herrmann, Evelyn Weiss and Frances Aldrichs; and nieces and nephew.
Ticky was born on July 22, 1927, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, daughter of Sofus and Hilda (Little) Andersen. She graduated high school in Cedar Rapids. Ticky worked as a time keeper for the Union Pacific Railroad in Omaha, Nebraska, for 39 years. She loved painting ceramics, reading and her best little friend, her cat, Tiger.
