Orville “Ozzie” W. Walker, 87, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, September 28, 2014. Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 4, 2014, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; children, Scott and Corey Walker, both of St. Louis, Missouri, and Kris (Jeff ) King of Cedar Rapids; seven grandchildren, Jennifer (Chris) Colby of Cedar Rapids, Justin (Melanie) Walker of St. Louis, Missouri, Jamie Walker of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Nicole Walker of St. Louis, Missouri, Sam Walker of Springfield, Missouri, Stephanie (Joe) Jacobs of Cedar Rapids, and Taylor King of Cedar Rapids; three great grandchildren, Emma Colby and Tucker and Bryar Jacobs; daughter-in-law, Sandy Walker of Cedar Rapids; and sister, Mary Lou Abbott of Nebraska City, Nebraska.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Gary; brother, Robert; and daughter-in-law, Janet Walker.

Ozzie was born June 20, 1927, to Walter and Dora (Cramer) Walker in Cedar Rapids. He married Carol Ford on June 9, 1951 in Cedar Rapids. He was employed at Iowa Manufacturing (Cedar Rapids Inc.) for 46 ½ years retiring in 1990 as Director of Administration. He was also a longtime member of Salem United Methodist Church. Ozzie was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals and the Iowa Hawkeyes. However, his greatest love of all was his family and the times spent with them.
