Odessa Mae Levasseur (Hawley)

Odessa Mae Levasseur, 86, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, November 28, 2011, at the Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha. Funeral Service: 11 a.m. Friday, December 2, 2011 at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion. Family will greet friends from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, December 1, at the funeral home.
Survivors include her son, Timothy (Sheila) Levasseur; a grandson, Michael; siblings, Ruby Goodall and Mary LaBarge, both of Cedar Rapids, Abbie Pike of Marion, and Betty Clifton of Des Moines.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and siblings, Ruth Goodall, Ellen Miller, Grace Long, and Howard, Scott, Jess, and Phillip Hawley
Odessa was born February 23, 1925, in Lisbon, Iowa, the daughter of George and Esther (Coay) Hawley. On August 5, 1951, Odessa was united in marriage to Melvin Levasseur in Cedar Rapids. He died September, 1967, in Alburnett.
