Norma E. Claassen

Norma White Claassen, 85, a resident of Meth-Wick, died Friday, October 18, 2002, at the care center. Friends are invited to join the family for a visitation in memory of her life at The Center in Meth-Wick Manor from 2-4 p.m. Tuesday, October 22, 2002.
Survivors include three sons, Robert and wife Mary, James and wife Connie and Donald and wife Trudy; eight grandchildren, Christina Slaton, Kelly and Kendra Claassen, Justin and Kate Claassen, Sam, Max and Grace Claassen; and nine great-grandchildren.
Norma was born April 18, 1917, the daughter of Theodore and Ora White. She attended local schools and was a graduate of Coe College where she was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta Social Sorority. She married William (Bill) Claassen February 7, 1942. As a wife, mother and teacher she enjoyed community volunteering, many years in the mental health area. Most recently she spent fifteen years as a buyer for the Meth-Wick Community gift shop.
