Nicholas 'Nik' Tucker

Nicholas “Nik” Tucker, 32, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Wednesday, October 23, 2024. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids assisted the family.
Nik was born July 3, 1992, in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of William “Bill” and Kristin (Ekblad) Tucker. Graduating with the Class of 2010 from Johnston High School, Nik went on to attend Iowa State University and later Mississippi State University, where he completed his degree in chemical engineering. Nik was an active member of the youth group at Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Urbandale, Iowa and at an early age earned his black belt in Tae Kwon Do. He was also involved in wrestling and football during high school and enjoyed online gaming.
We remember Nik for being kind and caring with a big heart. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his mother and her husband, Kristin and Marty Marsh of Cedar Rapids; sister, Brittany Tucker of Austin, Texas; and paternal grandmother, Barbara Tucker of Ft. Worth, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Tucker; paternal grandfather, Allan Tucker; and maternal grandparents, David and Beverly Ekblad.
