Nellie (Priebe) Palmer, 86, of Central City, Iowa, went to her eternal rest with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 10, 2021. A private family graveside service was held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at Mt. Clark Cemetery in Central City. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Central City is assisting the family.
Nellie was born on March 2, 1935, in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of Vincent and Ruby (Wilson) Priebe. She attended schools in Davenport and Bettendorf and graduated from South Kitsap High School in Port Orchard, Washington. In 1954, she married the love of her life, Milton Andrew Palmer. To this union, three children were born, Mark, Norene and Korene. Nellie worked for 19 years as a Site Manager for Congregate Meals in Central City. She loved her family and having them visit for the holidays. Nellie enjoyed sewing, crafts, and being outside. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Nellie is survived and lovingly remembered by her three children, Mark (Marge) Palmer, Norene Fuller, and Korene (Ben Kelchen) Williams; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Milton in 2013; sister, Mary Masterhan; brother, Vincent Priebe II; and one son-in-law, Harry Fuller.
