Nathan Allen Tiernan

Nathan A. Tiernan, 45, of Marion, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at his home. In agreement with his wishes, cremation has taken place, and no services will be held at this time. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Marion is assisting the family.
Nathan was born on February 26, 1978, in Alaska, the son of Ralph and Cathy (Brust) Tiernan. He was a graduate of Linn Mar High School and went on to work general construction. On December 17, 2023, Nathan was united in marriage to Carmen Hildebrand in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He loved fishing and spending time with his family. Nathan had a big heart and would help anyone whenever he could. He was a hard worker and loved music. Nathan will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Nathan is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife, Carmen of Marion; children, Zachary (Selena Soto) Tiernan of Cedar Rapids, Myles (Brookelyn Beeson) Tiernan of Marion, Wiatt Tiernan, and Olivia Tiernan; grandson, Nathaniel Tiernan; stepchildren, Jordyn Bell, and Olivia Bell; aunts, Sue (Jerry Shramek) Viall of Cedar Rapids, and Mary Jo (Greg) Bender of Texas; and many extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, David; and grandparents, Mark, and Donna Brust.
