Nancy Joan Ster
January 17, 1932 — September 17, 2005
Nancy Joan Ster, 73, of 1145 West 8th Avenue, died in her home, Saturday, September 17, 2005, following a sudden illness. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 21, 2005, at Marion Christian Church by the Rev. Dr. Robert Kunz. Friends are invited to a luncheon following the service. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Marion.
Survivors include her husband, Mike; her children, David (Elizabeth) Ster of Center Point, Cheri (Alan) Boots of Sunrise, Florida, Barbara (Vince) Amari of Streamwood, Illinois, Paul (Janelle) Ster of Marion and Shawn (Jenice) Ster of Cedar Rapids
Also surviving are twelve grandchildren, Adam, Beth, Nick, Allison, Justin, Joe, Jessica, Nicole, Ian, Joshua, Stephen and Allison. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, a sister and two grandchildren.
Nancy was born the daughter of Ozora and Letha Thorp on January 17, 1932, in Monroe, Wisconsin. She was married to Mike Ster on May 22, 1952, at the Navy Chapel in San Diego, California. Nancy was an active attendee of the Marion Christian Church and a member of the Farm Bureau Chorus.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Nancy?s memory.
