Nancy J. Rundle, 67, of Prairieburg, died Monday, May 18, 2009, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Services: 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 21, 2009 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Prairieburg. The family will greet friends from 4 ?" 8 p.m.,Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Central City. Burial: St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Prairieburg.
Survivors include her husband, Harry; 6 sons, Nick (Melissa) Rundle of Morley, Lonnie (Joyce) Rundle of Tipton, David (Carolyn) Rundle of Coggon, Marty (Patsy) Rundle of Prairieburg, Jerry “Fritz” (Joy) Rundle of Coggon; and Jamie (friend Mary) Rundle of Coggon; 1 daughter, Shelley (Matt) Walker of Prairieburg; 20 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren, and one on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Marlene Powers.
Nancy was born December 2, 1941, near Prairieburg, Iowa, to Vernon and Myrtle (Ankeny) Himes. She married Harry Rundle on September 16, 1959 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Prairieburg. Nancy was employed at Rockwell Collins, Wolmutts General Store, and the City of Prairieburg. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, playing cards, and loved spending time with family and friends.
