Nancy Jean Kephart

Nancy J. Kephart, 61, of Manchester, Iowa, died Tuesday, October 15, 2002, at the Edgewood Convalescent Home, Edgewood, Iowa, after losing her battle with A.L.S.
Nancy was born on September 20, 1941, in Manchester, to Lawrence Edwin Kephart & Jean Louise (Hobson) Kephart-Sands. Nancy attended the Manchester Schools, graduating in 1959. On June 21, 1959, Nancy was united in marriage to Don Preussner at the Community Congregational Church in Manchester. Together they farmed two miles south of Dundee. Nancy worked as a security guard in various places, returning to Manchester in 1999.
Nancy was a member of the First Lutheran Praise Singers and the American Legion Auxiliary, both in Manchester. She played softball for the Manchester Red Birds. Nancy enjoyed showing dogs and especially loved her Pug, "Snuggles?.
Nancy is survived by a daughter, Pam Limkemann of Manchester; a son and his wife, John & Julie Preussner of Dundee; four grandchildren, Adam Limkemann of Manchester, Ellie, Lucas and Will Preussner, of Dundee; one sister and her husband, Kim & Ken Melsha of Manchester; a brother and his wife, Larry & Judy Kephart of Long Beach, California.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence Kephart & Jean L. Kephart-Sands.
