Nancy Joann Kandt

Nancy Joann Kandt, 69, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024, at Hiawatha Care Center in Hiawatha, Iowa. In agreement with her wishes, cremation has taken place, and no services will be held. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Marion is assisting the family.
Nancy was born on March 11, 1955, in Minot, North Dakota, the daughter of Lyle I. and Arlene M. (Arndt) Weidler. She graduated from High School in Balfour, North Dakota, and went on to attend St. Luke’s School of Nursing. On June 21, 1974, Nancy was united in marriage to Dwight Arlen Kandt in Drake, North Dakota. She worked as a registered nurse at St. Luke’s Hospital for many years. Nancy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Nancy is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband of nearly 50 years, Dwight Kandt of Cedar Rapids; two sons, Quinten Kandt of Cedar Rapids, and Aaron (Meaghan) Kandt of Ankeny, Iowa; four grandchildren; and one sister, Tamara (Ron) McNeiley of Kenmare, North Dakota.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
