Nancy Jo Miller was born on October 6, 1946 in Clinton Iowa to Calvin Miller and Mary (Phillips) Miller Clark. She graduated from Maquoketa High School and later from Kirkwood Community College. She retired from Ralcorp in 2012 as a Quality Control Technician and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband, David; siblings, Ruth Strong of Watauga, Texas, Sheila Landers of Ely, Russell (Kaylene) Miller of Cedar Rapids, Greg Miller of Smithville, Georgia, Penny (Steve) Schnoor of Emeline, Howard (Sharon) Miller of Oxford Junction, Joleen (John) Boland of Parkview, and David (Lisa) Clark of Maquoketa; dear family friend, Sherry (Darrell) Child of Anamosa; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and her beloved parrot, Tico. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Nancy never had children of her own but opened her heart and home like a second mom to many. She taught us all the value of hard work, to be thrifty, to save for a rainy day and plan for the unexpected things in life. She was an avid story teller and so full of knowledge. Nancy was strong in her faith, loved the outdoors, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was loved by many and missed by all. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Joseph Catholic Church or St. Joseph Catholic School in Marion, ALS or MDA Associations.
