Myrna Louise Pohlman
November 14, 1921 — March 10, 2005
Myrna L. Pohlman, 83, of Manchester, died of cancer on Thursday, March 10, 2005 at the Meadows in Manchester.
Myrna was born the daughter of Martin H. and Margaret F. (Ortberg) Claus on November 14, 1921 in Delaware. She attended school in Delaware and graduated from Manchester High School in 1938. On February 9, 1939 Myrna was united in marriage to John H. Pohlman in Manchester. The couple farmed together for ten years in Delaware County. In 1949, they moved to Manchester where Myrna was a homemaker. John died on March 2, 1985.
Myrna was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Manchester.
Myrna is survived by two sons, Merle (Carol) Pohlman of Manchester and John "Mick? (Cheryl) Pohlman of Raytown, MO; six grandchildren, Shawn (Tara) Pohlman of Manchester, Matt (Christina) and Erik Pohlman both of Raytown, MO, Deanne (Rick) Wulfekuhle of Petersburg, Cindy (Matt) O?Meara of Masonville, and Nicole Pohlman of Raytown, MO; twelve great-grandchildren; and three sisters-in-law, Lavina Claus, Leona Pohlman and Velva Moorman, all of Manchester.
Myrna was preceded in death by her parents, Martin & Margaret Claus; a son, Gordon; an infant daughter, Barbara; and brother, LaVern Claus.
