Myrna Flitsch, 90, a resident of Willow Gardens Care Center in Marion, formerly of Alburnett, died Tuesday, January, 20, at the care center. Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 24, 2004, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion by Rev. Fred Darbonne. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial Lafayette Cemetery, rural Alburnett.

Survivors include her daughters, Donna Welch and husband Denton of Carrolton, Texas and Eileen Jenson and husband Dan Freund of Del Valle, Texas; a daughter-in-law, Eleanor Flitsch of Alburnett; a sister, Margaret Hawk of Missouri; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Marilyn; a son, Russell; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Paul and Max; and two sisters, Marjorie and Myrle.

Myrna was born August 21, 1913, the daughter of Emmett and Jennie (Stoneking) Albaugh, in Mt. Vernon. On June 24, 1934, in Mt. Vernon, she married CW "Casey? Flitsch. Together, they farmed for many years in the Alburnett area. He died September 21, 1996. Myrna was a member of the Alburnett United Methodist Church, Alburnett Book Club, where she held many offices, the Tuesday Club, WSCS Ladies Group and Pythian Sisters.

A memorial fund has been established in Myrna?s memory.
