Mina Kennedy, 83, a resident of The Meth-Wick Community, Cedar Rapids, formerly of Center Point, Iowa, died December 11, 2002 at The Meth-Wick Community of complications of Alzheimers. Services: 1: 30 p.m. on Saturday, December 14, 2002, at First Christian Church, Center Point. Conducted by: Rev. John Caughron. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, December 13, 2002, at the Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point, Iowa. Burial: Center Point Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Vicki Harger and husband Richard of Center Point and Paula Russler and husband Terry of West Union; four grandchildren, Jeff Harger, Tim, Trent, and Paige Russler and cousins.
She was preceeded in death by her husband, Keith Kennedy and her parents, Lloyd and Fannie (Fee) Wright.
Mina was born June 11, 1919, in Center Point, Iowa and married Keith Kennedy on June 28, 1940 at Anamosa, Iowa. She worked in area banks for over 25 years.
She was a member of the Center Point Historical Society, Garden Club, Alert Homemakers, Eastern Star, and 4H Leader. Mina was a member, past deacon and elder of the First Christian Church, serving as treasurer for 45 years.
