Milton Junior Koch, 81, of Springville, died Thursday, April 23rd, 2009 at the Winslow House Care Center, Marion, following a long illness. Services: 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 25, 2009 at the Springville Presbyterian Church by Rev. Karen Downey Beals. The family will greet friends from 4 ?" 8 Friday, April 24, 2009 at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion. Burial: Springville Cemetery.
Milton is survived by his children Teri (Kevin) Johnson of Alburnett, Sam Koch of Cedar Rapids, Mark (Denise) Koch of Cedar Rapids, Jeff (Julie) Koch of Springville; 7 grandchildren, Kristi (Josh) Caves of Alburnett, Katie Johnson of Cedar Rapids, Korey Johnson of Cedar Falls (UNI), Nova (Thad) Seeman of Cedar Rapids, Eric Koch of Cedar Rapids, Adam Koch of Springville, and Kelli (Sonny) Isaak of Oceanside California; 6 great-grandchildren Rileigh, Jullian, Mason and Broderick Seeman; Hunter, Savanna and Laken Caves; a sister, June of Knob Noster Mo.
Milton was preceded in death by his wife Helen; his parents; a brother Sam; a sister Dorothy; and daughter-in-law Kelly.
Milton was born July 20, 1927 in Mount Vernon, Iowa, to Milton and Anna Everhart Koch. He served in the Navy in World War II. Milton farmed until 1960 and worked for Universal Engineering Corporation for 34 years; 10 years in the shop and 24 years as serviceman and service manager. He enjoyed woodworking, golfing, and attending the many activities of his children, and grandchildren.
A memorial fund has been established in Milton’s memory.
